Home Bistro cooks up a December conversion rate of 9%
With a new web site better designed for customer interaction, Home Bistro, a provider of chef-prepared meals delivered to consumers, cooked up a 9.42% conversion rate in December that helped boost overall multi-channel sales by more than 6%.
Home Bistro, working with consultants FitForCommerce to match its needs with available technology, chose e-commerce platform provider TELLUS, a firm specializing in web strategy and solutions for multi-channel retailers. TELLUS CEO Betsy Emery will discuss how the new site was developed to better serve Home Bistro's customers during an Internet Retailer Web Design '09 Conference session entitled "Roadmap to Redsign" next week in Miami Beach, FL.
Twelve weeks after the project kicked off, the new HomeBistro.com launched in late October 2008. A key feature of the site is a blog that presents cooking tips from chefs and customer stories about holiday dinner fiascos.
